Some of it I had a very strong grip on. Mostly just wanting to get away.

But otherwise - yes, everything else was a lot more muddled. I got hit with a forced truth flood not long after I came, which wrenched a lot of things into perspective. Not even being able to lie to yourself is a little brutal, but it certainly helps you straighten out your priorities.
