What do you want, poetry?

Because you've been hurt and used in ways I can barely imagine, and you can still laugh at screaming gingerbread men. Because you're proud and straitforward and stubborn and principled, and horribly pragmatic at the same time, and horrible pragmatism appeals to me. Because you could crush me, all the time, but you listen to me instead, even when we disagree. Not a lot of kings know how to do that.

I didn't choose to love you. But I'm glad I got the chance to. You're just going to have to put up with that.
