She understands him, a little, the soothingly methodical way he thinks and how alien the outside world is to him sometimes. So she clarifies, states the facts as simply and thoroughly as she can.]

[She reaches over, touches his knuckles lightly with her fingertips, a tiny, floating touch.]

[There's no censure or passive aggression in the offer. If he needs to run off and think about things a little, that's okay. She trusts him enough to know he'll still be there for her in the ways that matter, in the ways he already has been.]
