For everyone who hasn't heard yet, I graduated, a little while ago. I'll be staying, of course.
[Private to Arthas]
It happened while I was a death knight, actually. I should have told you sooner, I know, I'm sorry. I was figuring a lot of things out and I half believed it wouldn't even stick.
I don't know what that means, or if it means anything. But...you deserve to know.
Thank you.
[Private to Hannibal]
[She pays careful attention to the effects of the flood; she knows he would, too. When she's certain the waters have receded, she starts to cook. With the roast is in the oven and the soup simmering, she calls.]
I'm sure you know by now that there was another Dr. Lecter on board, before you. He was one of the first people who spoke to me here.
He made me lunch, when I was cold and shaken and alone. I realize you aren't in that sort of position, but I'd like to pay it forward, if you're willing.
[Spam for Nathan, also distinctly post-flood.]
[She knocks twice, smartly. She brought cookies.]
Nathan? It's Anya. I'd like to talk to you.
[Spam for Iris, slightly backdated.]
[Anya has found some interesting things in her new and improved warden's cabin. Like this old-fashioned hand-cranked ice cream maker, for example. Iris seems to be having a rough time of it, so Anya hauls the bulky little machine over to her cabin, kicks the door awkwardly instead of knocking.]
Iris, it's Anya. I want to show you something.

[ There's a lot of weight in that word, considering what had passed between them before. ]
And good luck. It's quite the adventure on the other side of the fence.

On the other barge, yes. That - wasn't necessarily connected to status here.
What happened to you before the door opened? After?
[She lost track of him - of everything, really - after Ben died.]

She's wearing pink fleece pyjamas and her hair is uncombed, but she's grinning.]
Told you you were close. Oooh, I can't wait to watch you work. Not that I 'aven't been, but - official now, eh?
Oooh, what's that?

It's an ice-cream maker. Came with my new kitchen. I thought maybe we could try it out?
spamish
[She can do more good than is quantifiable, he's pretty sure.]
[The problem is just saying it right, and he's pretty sure, after some thought, that he can't. So he just writes it down and slips it under her door and hopes it makes sense.]
Anya,
First thing is I'm glad you're staying. Second thing is I'm proud of you, for what that's worth. Third thing is I know I never knew him as well as you did but I'm pretty sure Pietro would be really proud of you too. Even if he was a jerk about it on the surface he'd still be proud.
The last thing is something I was going to say anyway but I guess this is as good a time as any. I'm sorry I got so mad. I still don't agree with what you did but it's not up to me to decide what you do or protect you from the world, or worlds, or whatever, and just because you don't agree with somebody doesn't mean you don't
lovelikelove them.I hope it's not weird that you're family.
- Alex.
I always read this as 'spanish' and get briefly confused
You had a right to be mad and I love you too.
I hope it's not weird that I'm standing outside your door with ice cream right now.

I've missed you, by the way. You want to work on that knitting project, maybe?

[Private] the latest I'm sorry /)_(\
[He's the entire reason - well, no, half the reason for the Hobbs act. Anya intrigues him: he remembers the memories he shared, remembers how she protected herself against the divided Mr. Dent. She is a curiosity, but unlike so many others here, Hannibal things of her as playing the long game. Which means he must, too.]
That is kind of you. Perhaps we should call it a congratulatory meal. Dinner is the best sort of celebration, wouldn't you agree?
[Private] /squishes ur cheeks
I did get a kitchen with my promotion.
Say at six this evening? I'm in cabin thirteen, level five.

[ The first three words all run together like that; it's the same number of syllables, just blurred like a watercolor. A strange contrast to his posture, which is all edges. ]

[She holds out the plate of cookies. They're gingersnaps, more or less, but she mixed a different combination of spices into each blob of dough separately before baking, a grab bag of cinnamon and ginger and cloves and cardamom and anise and nutmeg and a few other more experimental things.]
